Trying to think about a website redesign again. Last time it just turned into another print.
At top is the current logotype I'm using. Below, a couple versions of what I'm messing with. I like it, but I'm wondering if it gets too abstract. Is it important to be able to instantly read the logotype when the name is right there in the URL? People know where they are, right? (Yeah, right.)
In any case, if you decide to go with the whole 45 degree logo you could produce it as papercraft and use a photo instead of the vector artwork. That would be totally rad.
I don't envy the task (gave up at T) but it seems doable. Folded and photographed properly you might get the continuation of line that you're looking for but with added depth to help distinguish individual characters.
Edit: I both folded and photographed it wrong but if you did it right you could get each letter popping up and to the right away from the previous letter. Looks much better than this photo on my desk refolded.
It is difficult to read and awesomely creative at the same time. It's really up to you how far you're willing to take this. The hardest part for me to read was the "c". If you were able to make the "c" more clear like Shaun did with his papercraft then I think it would be more legible

Anyway, opinions welcome.

The C, N and T's are really getting lost for me. Would something more like this be too obvious?

Love it and loving the papercraft direction it's taking. Although I can't read it tbh.
