Added a doe to the mix, the buck seemed lonely.
check it out. http://dribbble.com/shots/482954-Buck/attachments/31858
it's amazing, nice style!
I like his proportions so much. The neck is perfect, and those antlers are amazing.
I feel like it could use some variation in line width. On the legs and around the eyes in particular. Or maybe no outlines at all?
Really neat stylization.
nice style mike! love the shape of the fellow
Wow, what a lovely illustration here, Mike!
Ohh!! so cuteee! :)
brother of arm with my Jakubec. nice style
You have to know sumtn about deers to know how ears are actually very important parts of its body! Slam dunk master, hypercute!
fantastic!!! sweet and cute and beautiful :)
Really really great. I love that guy.
Wow this is super cute. Love the texture in the background.
LOVE the eye!
Thanks for the feedback, all. appreciate it.
I hope the client will let me go this way.
@Mark McCoy yeah I see what you mean on maybe adding some line variety, may try that down around the legs. Hope have some ideas for that.
@Alen Type08 Pavlovic you know your deer too then, cause yeah, you can tell more from their ears and tail then anything, nice catch, bro. And thanks for the encouraging words.
And thanks everyone else for commenting. sort of a new style for me, so its nice to hear it maybe has some potential.
Great eye, and also a bit creepy. Reminds me a bit of Princess Mononoke.
@Yassine Bentaieb oh that's not good. :-) oh well with those horns he has to be a little intimidating. (kidding of course.)
Working on those details if the client wants to go this route. thanks.
Great shapes! Love the style.
Great style, Mike! You're very close to a successful continuous line solution happening here. Have you considered playing with this a bit more a really go for truly continuous line rendering?
FWIW, I *love* continuous line work. It's hard-as-shit to pull off sometimes, but it's sooooo rewarding when I finally land on a solution. Makes me feel brilliant. Well, except for the part about it taking 3,217 crumpled paper attempts to get to that point.
@Boudewijn Danser thank you sir.
@Jon Stapp glad youlike it, Jon. Not sure the client is going this way (doesn't look like it) but it is fun trying some new stuff. I still may try the ram and elk I sketched out in my breakfast sketch.
That one line deal would be a nice alt style to toy with. I like that also. Tried a few, it is tough to make it work and look nice at the same time. take care.
really like this. abstracted to simplicity. Yet pleasantly complex. Definitely want to see the ram and elk!
