Working on a new iPad app, designing for the retina screen is proving to be lots of fun. So many pixels!

Love the blue! Although the gradient in type on contacts is may be a ltl off! A pressed state on typo might help!

I think the gradients could probably be a little more subtle. The contrast in colour from top to bottom is too much in my opinion.
Have you got a screen that allows you to see the whole canvas for iPad retina at 100%?

i'm sure they are, but make sure the icons are a divisible number for perfect retina rendering. i.e 40x40 looks niiiice, 39x39 does not.
