I really like the concept here! I think the right page is having a big real estate issue though :-( If you were to take this a step further, I think you'd have a seriously viable app design!

@Simon Godbout Timeline is a great feature -- if I revisit this concept, I'll definitely bring the profile header background and a few more things.

@Meng To So, I think the feed suggests you scroll down and the entire concept suggests to me that you'll be flipping pages. That could be its own problem lol, but I also don't see any room for timeline sorting options (view likes, subscribers, notes, events)
My biggest single issue is that you're only showing 1 post on that timeline, and it would be soo annoying to only see 1 at a time. I assume it's the profile, but look how much space is dedicated to the header bit compared to how much space has the juicy content (activity posts).
Hopefully this is helpful, as I think you've got a really neat thing going on here. I don't mean to be super critical; I think that right page just needs a little tweaking ;-)

@Eric Benjamin Oh yeah, I know what you mean now. I meant for the turning pages to do something else such as photos, maps, etc. It'll be more clear in the next version. You're right that we're only seeing only 1 update, but let's keep in mind that the UI is resizable. For the purpose of this demo, the viewing area is quite small. Still, good use of space is something I should always be mindful of. :)

@Gideon Baldridge the book metaphor is more for facebook's original concept of an address book / face-book rather than the full-blown site today. Yep, for this to be useable for the whole scope of fb, I'd need to revisit the concept quite a bit. Thanks for the comment!

Gorgeous! I love how the design gives Facebook a human, personal quality. I could see this as an app focused on direct messages as conversations, for example (since it's about the only feature of FB I use anyway…).

The red notification is touching the top, move it a bit down so there is space above it (make is smaller if needed). The big blue ribbon is taking too much attention and in reality it does not do anything. It just sits there saying "f". You know that a piece of interface is bad if when you remove it - you didn't lose anything valuable. The 6 images of faces below profile pic should be in rounded box as well (or the other two in square box).
I do not like visual styling where the right page is a bit flipped, but the content on that page is flat. Make right page to be the same as left page - flat on the book.
