A blockquote styling idea for a client on the homepage of their site.
Struggling to work the author headshot into the design so any thoughts appreciated.
Love the actual blockquote style, my immediate thought was why not pull the headshot into the block under the opening quotes and push the text across slightly to bring it inline - then run the citation under the quote itself but still within the block styling? It makes sense in my head but may not in practice!
I like this, but find the quote marks a little overpowering. My eye is drawn to them rather than the actual text. Maybe just knock the colour/opacity back on the circle borders and quote marks?
Regarding the headshot, it certainly needs lining up with either the above border or possibly even the text above. You could maybe try actually overlapping with the box above, but that *may* look a bit arse.
