awesome as always. am just not sure about the gradient in the background, on one hand it charmes the lightsituation but on the other it's somehow killing the pixel-aesthetics.
love the details with the blue light coming from the shadow side. great work.
wish you'd put the one a solid dark blue background. Would have played well with the blue shadow/highlight and as @Juicefoozle mentioned it would go better with the pixel aesthetics imo. Really great work anyways!
@Alexander Yeah, I know what you mean. I struggle with the purity level of pixel art. There's "how it was," and then there's "how I remember it to be." If smooth gradients etc mixed in with low color pixel art capture the right feeling, I think I'm ok giving up the restrictions of the technology of back in the day.
@Visual Idiot Sorry.(( I've just found myself to be not very original. This fact makes me feel really upset, though there is nothing wrong that a good idea comes to different people. So this is authorized use of my own face. And as I've used it, I look a bit less asiatic on this pic. Cheers, "I know that feel, bro"! )
@Juicefoozle@Alexander Spliid I see your point, guys, and to be honest I share it. Pure pixelart is awesome thing, but most of the talented people here don't get the feeling of it's awesomeness (probably they find it primitive or too nerdish). It's my first attempt to merge pixelart with smooth gradient and the result isn't so bad, I guess. @Zachary Johnson Got it right. But still pure pixelart rules!
Always great seeing your stuff... I like the lighting technique you used. I had a similar problem in some pixel art illustration I did, so nice to see how you did this :).

Love the curve of the body. Great work. My first reaction was "WHAT IS THIS AND WHY IS IT AMAZING?"

Omg everything you do is AMAZING. I can't believe I'm just finding you now. Pixel art is impossible, I'm always awed by those who can do it.
