   Still working on my own sites in my (little!) spare time. This uses the awesome Cocoon template as a base and is still in progress. I want to get the folio display filter set up a bit better so it doesn't show so much at once plus I'll be adding social media icons in the contact area.

   Had some fun trying to get my tumblr feed displaying via an article, but the display is pretty dodgy, anyone know of a good way of combing wordpress and tumblr?

   Overall I feel the site is a bit bare, but really it's just a folio display site. Ideas on what else I should put on there?

   For pulling in Tumblr, have you had a look at SimplePie? It's free and has loads of configurable options on displaying feeds.

   Design wise, I don't think you need to add more. The site has a purpose and just adding more things for the sake of it doesn't make much sense.

   As it is currently, I would lower the amount of noise on the background as it's quite distracting and I would decrease the vertical margins between sections - I can scroll to the bottom of one section and think I was at the end.

   I think I might actually be using simplepie, I might have to look into it a little more!

   I've had to set this as private (password protected the directory) as I'm not allowed to show any of my current work :-/

   cheers, second comment I've gotten about the strength of the noise, so I'll def tone it down. Wonder if my monitor is darker so it's not really picking it up so much..
