Here's my ideas for the friends list screen of the app. Trying the tile approach to the list, something I haven't tried before.

There's plenty more screens to come, so follow me on twitter.

As always guys, feedback is welcome, in fact, I demand it of you :)

Nice gradient on tab bar icons!
One question, Tab Bar is designed to be swipeable? If yes, I don't think it is the best solution for the problem when we have more than 5 tabs. Maybe to follow HIG on that matter?

@Milan Cubic The tab bar is swipe-able, yes. We are unable to use the side nav (like Facebook) for this project due to the client's requests. They has also requested the minimal amount of tab bar space in order to maximise the map size.

@Milan Cubic Ideally I would have liked to have had a pop-up style menu (Target app uses one) but this also isn't on the cards as the client doesn't want anything taking up the area for the map.

@Zane David I see your point. My main concern with swipe-able tab bars is that it is hard to do that gesture when holding iPhone in one hand.

(Just thinking out loud here.) What you think to "hide" additional tabs on the left side? It would be more comfortable and requires less action from user (right-hand user).

@Milan Cubic Cheers for the input. I personally don't think it's hard to do the gesture as it's no different to swiping between home screens on the iphone. (You're just doing it lower on the screen.)

  17. Zane and I's collaborative project is moving along nicely now, and we've started the girls theme of the app.

Would love to hear your feedback on the design - make it constructive!

Be sure to check out more from this project here and follow me on Twitter to stay up to date with my work!

@Zane David are each of the user containers supposed to look like tappable buttons? If not, then I think some small tweaks can be made to improve the design a bit. Everything looks really nice, though. Great job Zane.

@Charles Riccardi yes, every user container will be tappable buttons to take you to a new screen.
