The corner feels...odd. Like it was sawed off or something. Feel like it should taper off more instead of having a hard edge.

Out of curiosity, Jesse: do you use Photoshop or Illustrator for making your icons?

Currently working on something metallic too so I know it's damn hard to achieve! Anyway, nice work :)

Looks great! Lower screwhead looks a little thinner from the rotation (might want to darken some of the subpixels), and I agree about the corner outline at least at this resolution.

Boom! Amazing. Can't say much in the way of feedback...although now that I see Josh's statement, I can see what he means. It seems like there is a 1px light inner shadow that should not be showing on that outer edge. But I didn't even notice until Josh pointed it out.

The main issue I see is that you don't have a consistent light source. The light hitting the two flat pieces heading offscreen is not consistent on both, as is the light hitting the corner piece which looks like it's coming from below. (And the leather is lit from above.)

Then I'm not sure what the rounded part of the corner is. At first I thought it was concave then I realized its probably convex and bulbous. That part especially needs to reflect some sort of light source even if it's a dull metal.

I know this is a work in progress so I'm sure you'll polish it nicely. I like the textures and I think you've got a good feel for creating metal. Good work so far!
