A small sample from the front cover of a new book cover I'm working on. This version utilizes a full-bleed photo on the front with this type treatment. I'm wondering if the decorative divider between the text is necessary or just fluff?

I love the idea of the decorative divider... maybe just a thinner, lighter version...

I actually like the divider & it's size, it gives the whole block a nice shape. Love it. So no shoestring alphabet then? :)

Oh no no no. I am still going to be pulling for the shoestring version. But I promised the client to have 2 different versions.

Looks very nice, and I do like the decoration. Just one small correction: it should be Father's.

Probably too cliche, but I'd swap the decoration for an embellished crown.

Looks fine by me, however the divider can be made less attention grabbing aka smaller.

Thanks Tony for the grammatical correction. That's always needed.

I'll play around with the idea of a crown and changing its size. Thanks Rogie and Tuhin.

    Nice Kyle,
I would like to see the crown idea... But I also like what you have so far... curious to see shoe-string version.

So the client decided on this cover design rather than the shoestring design. :( But I'm not done with that idea. Right now though I'd like to hear your thoughts. I like the crown.
