Getting tired of using 12 and 16 column grids. 3 is all I need for this design and it's a good thing I've been doing my homework with sketches.

@David Silva In the era of fluid layouts, the rigid 12/16 column grids become obsolete, in my opinion. You are free now to create grids that fit the design direction which is how it should be.
