Why is it that, only in times of severe stress and overflowing inbox and mountains of work, that I obessively fiddle with the design of simplebits.com? A sickness, methinks.

Oh no Dan, not again! Although I will say, I'm feeling motivated to put some pants on and walk the block to your office to see this. Because it looks like the start of something awesome.
Totally the same, Dan. Totally the same. (Though not my personal site, but other personal projects.)
@Meagan: Haha, you know how this goes all too well :)
@Cameron: Whew, I'm glad I'm not the only one. There's something to be said for being in the zone I suppose when you have to juggle lots of different work. Maybe we're chasing that feeling and applying toward personal projects as well.
I think this is pretty common. I tend to start creating something new. It's one of the reasons why I've got lots of semi-functioning sites lying around out there!
I do the same thing.
We refer to this in our dev shop as the redesign redesign redesign.

waitaminute...isn't that the only time to work on one's personal site? :)
Feeling a bit of deja vu at the top. Man, this looks good...
Maybe we should start a RA group for this. Glad to see I'm not the only one...
I do this ALL THE TIME. I think it's all about relaxing with a site design that doesn't include the headache of having to please someone else. We're with design and code just like the guys that tinker with a cars just because they can get under the hood. It just feels good.
