First design for the BaconFest in Bristol, TN. Looking for critique, so please leave a comment if you're so inclined.

The illustration is perfect! The photo makes me a little depressed and this is coming from someone who thoroughly enjoys bacon. I understand having a cluster of pigs gives it a "fest" feeling, but maybe something a little less factory farming might be more appetizing. The colors and the texture are fabulous though.

I agree with Curt. I meander in and out of being a vegetarian. I enjoy the flavor of bacon, but it makes me so sad to see the little piggies. I have a Chihuahua with a spiral tail. His name is Ziggy and we call him Ziggy Piggy. I eat fish and chicken, but can't come to eat pork.

I dig the folded ribbon treatment. It makes a shape that much more dynamic. The colors feel right on to me, maybe a little warmer and more saturated to get that appetite appeal, too—I imagine a Baconfest can be pretty indulgent.

Could be a hokey idea, but what about using bacon, or a shape inspired by bacon (wave, etc.), as the folded ribbon itself?
