Going with rococo for this family photo-sharing app. The stitched leather tab bar and fabric navigation bar are based on the Find My Friends app UI. Does this feel too feminine to you? Bear in mind this is for the "family" and would include moms, dads, grandparents, relatives, etc.
If you're after feedback, it seems a little odd that the nav bar at the top is both stitched and transparent. Seems like it should be one or the other.
The design is superb, but I have to say: an app called "Kidssnap" is close enough to "kidnap" to make some people uncomfortable. Especially an app for taking photos of kids. It would be like calling an app for tracking your friends Stalkdar or something. I certainly appreciate a clever play on words, but I'd think twice about the name.
Samuel I believe kidssnap resembles kidnap as much as iPad is to maxipad. It's for the Japanese market primarily. And I kinda like how name could spark conversations. Purple cow.
@Aen Tan "Purple cow" indeed, but it's also quite the razor's edge to walk. Don't forget your target market; the type of people who would be offended by a name like that are likely also the type of people with children.
It's up to you, of course. Just wanted to offer my 2 cents. The app really is gorgeous and I know nothing about the Japanese market, so I'm sure it'll do great either way.
@Samuel Fine yea I think I know what you mean – how it is possible for some parents of young children to be that stupid to be offended by a word. Like Christians being offended by dogs because of the swapped ends with "God". It's quite a prejudice you have there but but I believe people that stupid usually have Samsung phones. ;P

It's folded down and stitched. Why would anything be transparent here?

Wow this is one of the most well-designed iPhone app UIs I've ever seen. I really hope this gets released onto the App Store.
Amazing tab bar, top title bar, and even the background and box effects are spectacular

Have you tried having the shoot photo tab stick out a bit more to put more heairchy into the navigation?

Looks fantastic, but incredibly reminiscent of Find my Friends, no?

Just sick of the straight stitches I see everywhere so I recreated the stitches in Find My Friends.
