I don't do this kind of thing much, but I am content with the progress with this render so far. I'd be willing to listen to suggestions. I'm having trouble making any sense of the metal texture.
This will be used on the website homepage at about 3x the size.

I like it allot, the inner white feels a bit softish because of the gradient. and mainly because of the shadow, but the shadow should only be going in one direction due to the shadow in the bottom. Also the inner area should have a gradient going down the same direction as the bottom shadow. Basically the lightint on the bearing needs to be tweaked a bit. Otherwise awesome job.
