Recent work on for a charity http://LeavenOnline.org They focus on social justice through helping those facing hardship as a result of following the principles of the Humanae Vitae, a declaration of human worth and dignity. The name 'Leaven' comes from the idea that yeast spreads through dough as they hope to have their work multiplied by inspiring others to help also. This chosen concept is a combination of wheat, hearts (representing love for God, love for family, and love for others, building one from another), and a subtle shield shape representing the protection of human dignity that is central to their mission. The text is custom made, and I also made some icons for the site.
Nice one, Luma! This is a well-executed, thoughtful concept with wonderful symbolic depth. I love your color scheme, and that type is nicely done. I would have tried to achieve tighter vertical alignment with regard to how the words "the" and "for humanae vitae" line up with the letters in "Leaven," but since it's already in use, I suppose it's a moot point.
oh man. This is really smart. Maybe it's jut me but when the typefaces is set in smaller sizes, I start to lose counters. It's still readable now, but at smaller sizes I'm not sure how it would fair. If this is the smallest size im sure ti wouldn't be a problem.
