I really like the pictorial qualities. simplified and gussied up selectively. I might turn the umbrella a bit so the cane does not line up perfectly with the center line - but thats my preference. definitely maintain the symmetry. i love the gradient on the raindrops!
I like it! Cool concept when it rains under the umbrella. I think it would also be cool to see the rain swap it's own negative space... so that the rain is everywhere except right under the umbrella. That might look pretty too.
