Client ditched this concept b/c he really wanted a fingerprint with gun crosshairs over it.

That's nuts. This is great.
Worked on their web signup page recently. Sorry to see this one got nixed.
I guess the eye is the obvious go-to idea. Maybe could've pushed it further. Second guessing everything in my life now!
Argh! They passed on this? Well, what did they pick?
seriously??? fingerprint and crosshairs?? man. this is great. that is sad.
dang that sux. this is so rad.
Fantastic stuff, Matt.
Sending a hug your way, Matty. Chin up, lil' fella.
Wonder what it would look like with grapes & eye minus the glass...
Ridiculous. I can offer you a beer and a shoulder to cry on during SXSW.
That's too bad. Such a great concept and solution. And there's nothing wrong with using the "go-to idea" when it works this well. The viewer will easily be able to decipher the logo making it more memorable and recognizable. Blah blah blah.

@Andrew Brozyna They went a slightly different direction than the crosshairs and fingerprint concept. However, the guy was adamant about the fingerprint. Final turned out okay... not offensive, but not conceptually compelling. Really glad the gun crosshairs were eliminated though – a small victory!
Wow, really cool. Damn clients, they just, they, fff, man.
Great Work! I'd be stoked if I was the client.
Drank too much wine...shot self in finger.
Sometimes I wish clients would just take our ideas but they hold the strings (read as checks).
Regardless if the client didn't pick it, we still get to enjoy it. Thanks for sharing!
@Matt Lehman clever logo man! ++
