Add, Edit and Remove templates from /perch/templates/content/? I guess this could be handy – but I don't know how much it's needed within Perch?
You have to go through your css, js and php-files for making vital chances anyway, setting up regions etc. – unless you're planning to use this editor for this aswell.
This could get very bloated – but nice anyways.

I put this together a few months back with the intention of using for our online demo. Then put it on the back-burner for a couple of technical reasons.*
Wondering now if it's worth dusting off and publishing in case it's useful to anyone.
(* our demo is serving multiple sites from one Perch install, so the templates are shared - didn't think of that when I started. Oops. Also needed to do some work to customise the editor for our <perch:content /> tags, but that's now done.)

I love the idea of being able to make edits to existing templates (this would be particularly handy when you're not able to use FTP for whatever reason.)

Could be useful if clients want to get their hands dirty but can't get their heads around FTP. Might be useful to add some basic 'undo' type functionality though - I was bitten too many time by the template editing via the control panel in TextPattern.

@Drew If each demo becomes seperate, this little app could be very useful! That said, I think this editor could work great alongside the option to edit your site files having the Perch runtime too.
@Oliver I hope you have an syncing FTP client that will check your local files against your online files – or this could be a mess. But yes, handy when not having FTP access, but the template files are just one piece of the pie of a Perch site.

To me this is getting pretty close to 'too much'. It's a bit wordpress-y and unnecessary.
Maybe I'm becoming a Perch-nazi, over-protective of a product, but I like the UI to be nice and simple.
Also, when I hand over a site I do give one user admin rights, just in case. I'd hate for them to be able to edit the code!!

To clarify: this is just an add-on, you'd only install it if you wanted it. As always.
