   Not sure still? I might ditch this completely, I did start out with something really subtle in mind, but I can never stop myself from making everything look big like a poster, need to sleep on this one I think :)

   how about putting the links under FOSTER, one below the other? Smaller type, white 1px horizontal rules under each link and I guess you'd have to change the word CV to RESUME for it to look good.

   Cheers Sumit, I've moved the nav to the right side of the screen now, still can't decide whether to carry on with this or start again, I'm not supersticious but I think Friday the 13th is totally messing with my design mojo today - bad juju :)
