I'm really excited to announce that I've been continuing to help more startups craft their early stage idea's, build unique UX models, and interface them. 60% Brainstorming, 40% Interface.
When I'm not doing that, I usually build little icons for myself that I can use later on. Kind of a like a personal toolkit.
Sometimes I'll start with a long rectangle with 100% rounded ends. Rotate it about 45 degrees give or take. Dupe it. Flip it. Put the two together. Knock out the remainder. From there you can tweak it.
That's a good call mike, great technique. I just started with the stock photoshop shape, and tweaked it until I thought it represented the iconic heart shape.
Now I just reference it all of the time, like Patrick mentioned as well.
Haha, all good notes my dudes. Morgan thanks for the PSD man. It's funny, the largest heart I would pretty much use 1% of the time. The smallest heart I use all the time and you can see it looks pretty good (compared to the larger size). Funny how you can have the same shape larger look crappy, reduce it and it looks just right.

For sure, I think it's because you're throwing out those pixels by reducing the size.

Yeah the big sized icon kinda reminds me of this guy from Little Nicky: http://www.city-data.com/forum/members/bs13690-83559-albums-random-pics-pic43433-kevin-nealon-little-nicky-001.jpg
