@Moises Oswaldo Urrutia I think unexpected is probably the more appropriate description. Bits of texture should be used in surprising and new ways - lest we end up with smooth UI for everything.
It is unexpected at first but consider what it adds overall: personality. My 2¢

@Moises Oswaldo Urrutia Really appreciate your attention to your gut. There is a fine line between when to use something like this and when not to. Marketing it toward users who are accustomed to seeing skeuomorphism in Apple products helps make this feel relevant.
