We will try to get out of private beta as quickly as possible. We have to cover our bases of handling a lot of traffic and fixing bugs.
Final release? Never ;)
This is just Phase 1 release. We have feature lists that will take us through several phases. The trick is not to clutter the site, but to create the best experience on the web for movie lovers.
I've been wondering, since you are a designer, illustrator, and love Disney, what did you think of the latest "Winnie the Pooh" movie?
I've watched it a couple of times with my 3 little girls, and I have to say, it's in my top 10 movies for 2011. I love how typography plays a key role in the story.
Shane was watching the video again after you posted - design is beautiful, even simple stuff such as crew / cast which I find to be the hardest sometimes - the ONLY thing I could give feedback on was that the titles in the grid seem to create odd negative spaces when left aligned :x
@Adam Blair - I hear you. I didn't like them centered though. We've tried adding the marquee tag on them b/c the objective is for it to feel like you are buying a ticket at a box office. It's actually a pretty cool effect. Never thought I would use marquee, but it works here.
@Shane Helm Absolutely loved it. I was so sad that it didn't get more attention - the whole thing truly was a work of art. Gorgeous. (: It also made me giggle out loud a few times. (:

@Daniel E Kling Jr - Ha! Not meaning to tease you in any way. Dribbble is what you are working on currently. Chatter is in development today.

@Adam Blair - I should add that the marquee effect is only on rollover of a specific movie. All titles aren't moving at once; that would be annoying.

Oh my God, that's just perfect. Especially the font for Post Chatter. What is it? :)
I've said it before and I'll say it again: I cannot wait for this launch.
Amazing. I cannot wait.
Yes, actually, perhaps you should just invite the entirety of Dribbble to private beta testing. I think this is really going to catch on.

@Terra Spitzner - Pooh got no awards... "Oh bother." ;)
@Maxwell Barvian - Thanks! The font is League Gothic. I put some italics on it. We use it in various places throughout the site.
@Daniel Price - Wow! I really hope you're statement is prophetic. We really do hope it does catch on. Thanks!
