Taking a break and rough tracing a sketch. Still lots of problem areas in this little fragment.

But I love the wonkiness of it. I think nowadays, I prefer the problems rather than perfection.

P.S. My guess is that this is the tail of a * Jaguarundi.

    * Yes, I'm an animal freak.

I'm with Rogie & Jonathan, I like the imperfections. Looks great so far.

Perfection is not worth the cost of sanity. Those curves will take over your life.

That's what happened to me when I made my STEED font. I tried for about 5 minutes to make everything neat and perfect, but then realized that doesn't fit my personality at all. So just be honest. Then it will be awesome.

Isn't it amazing how many little design decisions go into making something as simple as a knobby swirl? No wonder font makers are a special breed.

I'm too late for Font Aid IV, but finishing this fun little exercise will likely take me weeks anyway. For one character.

Whenever I attempt to wield the bezier, I'm reminded just how insanely talented great type designers are.
