Coffe Shop Menu Backgrounds

These designs although very clean, feel super generic to me. I think when I finish the boards and month them agains a wire brushed wood back from the generic feel won't be as prominent. These designs are supposed to act like a watermark behind a body of text. Any thoughts on how to trick out a watermark?
