Mostly due to all of the amazing feedback from Dribbble and inspiration from the fine pixel work of Jesse Dodds, I've revised the action icons.
My biggest issue with the previous version was the apparent lack of balance: the book and email icons had large areas of white, making them more prominent than the other icons.
James, did you see the previous? It's really nice to see the progression from what was thought to be amazing to even better. It reminds designers like us to keep pushing forward.
Rogie: Yeah, these are so much cleaner. I totally agree with the issue of balance in the previous set with the email & book icon. Good job man :) Awesome as always!
Superb Rogie! They are super-tight. I was actually going to invert the mail icon like you've done here. The mixture of solid and hollow icons irked me in the beginning.
Great job, and glad I could be of help. :)
Only thing I have to say is that some of the sizes seem mis-matched. In comparison to the other icons, the mail and pen seem a tad on the large side.
Jesse, you actually taught me a lot. In comparing mine and yours there were some obvious technique differences, where I truly felt yours were much better. Thanks for the lesson :)
Henry, if there's anything to learn about any program, defaults never cut it. You have to tweak and tweak those vector handles until everything becomes right.
Fantastic, may I ask (if it hasn't already been asked) what are these for? For personal/client use or a set you're working on. Either way it's shaping up to be rather tasty!
The arrow weirds me out because the tail is rounded but all the arrowy points are pointy. I can't decide if I don't like it or if it just makes me... uncomfortable. <shifty eyes>

Is that pen supposed to be used to write in the notebook? Because it looks huge in comparison.

Perceval, no, it's supposed to be it's dominating, Lord Sauron overlord...after all, the pen is truly mightier than the sword.
THIS PEN SHALL CRUSH THAT NOTEBOOK! MWAHAHHAHAHH!

How do you get the icons so crisp? The diagonal lines in FW usually end up blurry.

Liam, it's for Colorado State Continuing Education, a good client of mine :) That being said, keep on the lookout for something similar coming from Komodo Media soon!
