Great work! It feels like the symbols at the bottom should be the other way around to correspond to the symbols at the top. So follow would be the filled shape and friend the dotted line. Unless both of the icons start as a dotted line anyway until clicked?

I think that the note should start out smaller, then expand once selected (and once there is content in it) -- that way it wouldn't take up so much space initially.
