A personal project where I challenged myself to recreate the Braun SK2 Radio entirely within photoshop (no images involved).
The SK2 epitomises everything that I love about great design as it has the bare minimum of what is needed for it to function, without effecting any of the products usability.
It was created in the 1960's by one of my true idols, Dieter Rams. Even though I don't actually own this piece (I have the larger SK5) I still love the intricacies that make it timeless.

Could you spread the word dude!
@Damian Kidd Awesome, thanks so much man!
Well said. My father is an antique dealer, so growing up I got to see a lot of really great radios. Good choice for inspiration
Very nice result!
Mad! Where's the rebound?!
Beautiful!!! I love the reflection
Wow, well done!
Gotta' love Dieter. Do a quick search on Dribbble, and you know what I mean ;)
@Kevin Andersson Totally!
we all know where ipod design came from..
@Siniša Cvahte The guy is a genius. Apple openly take many cues from Rams work.
Oh yes Ives often says his biggest influence is Rams - easy to spot sometimes!
Can we see the full picture?
@Daniel Pidcock totally. I still have some to finish. Stay tuned. S
Looking good! Great details and nice job on the lighting!
