would be fun if the whole website was from a perspective like this...

The shadow puts a floor/surface which the nav bar is hovering over. In that sense, it would be cool to put the rest of the content in front and behind the nav bar...not above or below. Get what I'm saying?
@Garrett Gee Ah, I see, interesting idea! Though we'd probably want the nav to always be above everything else.
Oddly enough, the floor shadow was actually used through the rest of the app's UI, though not exactly in the way you've described it.
