   This one on a square tile would be ideal. The Verge did an article showing a complete Microsoft cross-brand identity using that concept and it looked fantastic. Not sure why Microsoft is using the squared off window for 8, and the wavy one for WP7, which will soon be WP8.

   @Justin Lowery the tile is used for windows phone 7 and it's a red tile; They use this windows logo in the start bar with a grey background. It's a clean transitions from windows 7 to 8.

    I agree with this iteration. Circle is a great contrast to the blocks inside the Windows 8 UI. It does however seem that they wanted to hit the extreme part of minimalist and go with squares.

    I think Microsoft is doing a nice job with Windows 8 Metro style design but... This should be the The One!!
    Much better than those squares made on paint. This one is simpler and more familiar to users. In fact is more similar to other logos like the windows Phone. Nice Job!
