Official iPad icon for Zlatan Ibrahimović biography app.
Made for Bonnier R&D. App is published by Albert Bonniers Förlag. Photo of Zlatan by Eric Broms.
My better half Jenny Sundén (http://twitter.com/jensu) was responsible for concept, creative direction, map graphics, video editing etc. I merely helped with the icon :)
Rather than using the photo pasted on the icon, was there an iconic symbol or an abstract concept from his life ( Like the glasses for Steve ) that could have better represented him ?
I think if you ditched the metallic look on this icon, and made it feel more book like, the photo could work here. It would also draw an even stronger connection to the physical book.

@Prathyush Beyond his ridiculous ponytail and beard, there's no real way of representing Ibra any better than a photo.

I explored using a Koi fish from a tattoo on his back, but it was too abstract for this app. It is after all his biography. It also needed a connection with the physical book, which had a very defined style: http://media12.onsugar.com/files/2011/11/45/5/442/4429061/bde51c655913ab16_ibrahimovic-jag-ar-zlatan-3d-1_new_medium.jpg

I think it's awesome, it reminded me of the book. I've read the book and I'm totally going to buy this app too!
