A teaser of my current WIP, a theme I've code named G5 (after the PowerBook G5). The dock is still in progress, and the wallpaper is temporary, a result of playing around with filters. G5 will be designed from start to finish using LiveView; in other words, I couldn't care less what it looks like unless I'm looking at it on my phone. Think Safari looks good? Wait til you see it on your device.
This isn't going to be done any time soon but I'd like to get some feedback regardless. Thanks for looking!

My god that safari is crisp. Just wondering, was it intentional to have the corners of the Mail icon be different from the texture of the center?
Thanks Eli. Do you mean the very outer edges of the border, where the trim is, or on the actual envelope paper edges?
This > "I couldn't care less what it looks like unless I'm looking at it on my phone."
I could go on rant about how many top notch designers still design for their monitors, which ultimately ends up looking like a smear on the phone. But I won't. Oh wait, did I?
Oh, and I have to say, you did a way better job on the texture of your mail icon than I on my own. It is absolutely vibrant!
This is awesome, the style is great, and looks super sharp! Plus, I am 100% behind designing for the device.
Watch out Jaku...
Thanks guys for the great comments! I hope to do you all proud with my next icons.
Dude these are so sick, I love them. That safari icon has so much detail in it! Very nice job. When I look at the phone icon, I feel like there could be some minor changes to perfect it. Like the apple logo on it could have a subtle stroke so you could see the top more but that's just me. That's prolly the only thing I noticed though.
I would love to have these icons on my phone haha
Thanks man, I'm really glad you like em! I agree that the Phone icon needs some more work; it was the first icon I made (before even making a proper base) and as such, it needs the most fine-tuning. I'll be sure to go back and change a few things (notably, the buttons, logo, and brushed metal texture).
