   The flag shape on the majority of flagsticks would be rectangular, but I realize there's room for artistic license (i.e., if the shape plays off of knights or jousting).

   I don't know of any golf tournaments that reduce their word mark to initials for marketing, so the "KC" version feels odd to me in that respect. If that's just for Dribbble, disregard.

   Also, I imagine something in a horizontal orientation on the full mark is going to be easier to use, in general. Might save some headaches, for whomever is ultimately responsible for designing a website or marketing materials. As well, your details would be lost when scaling the vertical down to small sizes, as @Virginia Faircloth mentioned.

   You could work the lance/flagstick into the word mark -- the K, N, I or H? Too cliche?

   Sorry if I got a little too overzealous with my comments. Big golf fan, and my interests aligned.
