Did this little globe thing over the weekend. Just tried to give it a spin. I know the map is a little misplaced but I would love to hear what you think. :)

Lovely shading, I think the map needs to be a white overlay or something, though, right now it blends in with the background :)

Thank you Ollin. You mean the shape of the map has to be lighter, not darker? Until now I didn't even thought about it, but i will try. :)

Either much lighter [the color of the highlight] or much darker [of the shadowed part]. So long as the continents are easily distinguishable from the globe... if you need to check, squint your eyes and see if you can still see Australia spin by ;)

    Looks great.

I think the subtlety of the detail is totally subjective - depends entirely on what you're trying to achieve tbh.

Depending on what kind of material effect you're going for, it might be worth creating the shiny spots as a solid colour (rather than semi-opaque), as I'm not entirely sure you should see the detail moving under them, but I'd need to play with a marble for a while before I decided on it :)

Looks so great,I like the edge processing of this object.it makes the edge much smoother.and nice reflection.
