The concept here is that my atomicvibe logo is set on the background to look like an app icon. On each screen of my iPhone, the bottom right-most app space is left blank to allow this faux atomicvibe app icon to be seen. The app icon itself is meant to look like it was letterpressed in the same manner as my biz card.
I really like the inner shadow around the edges. The dot matrix look really sets this apart from the over-glassy icons we're use to on the device. Great job!
@Matthew Koyak yeah, my inspiration was the icon for Instagram, which itself isn't overly glassy, but achieves a really nice dimensionality through softly feathered rounded-edge inner shadows and lighting.
Hey, thanks for that wonderful review, Colin. FWIW, I'm now working on a pretty involved desktop wallpaper and icon set. With the desktop icons, because I'm not limited to the rounded square shape of the iOS app icon, I have a bit more freedom to play around with other shapes. Stay tuned.
Wow, what a simple yet genius concept! This is one of those ideas that makes a person insanely jealous he/she didn't think it up first. Excellent execution as well! Those colors are just... So wonderful.

Rolling out my 2012 atomicvibe logo redo in bits and pieces with a set of personal iPhone wallpapers based on my letterpressed biz cards.
Here is the faux atomicvibe app icon that is a part of the home screen wallpaper.

Thanks guys, for the wonderful feedback.
As I sit with this, I feel like the letterpress "saltiness" could be accomplished a bit better, so this is still very much a WIP.
