Sometimes you just need to step out of your comfort zone. So, I decided to take on the challenge and design something for the television.
The interface itself wasn't really the biggest issue. I knew what I wanted somewhere in the back of my head but man… You got to think big on 1080p!
Now I need your opinion! What are your guys thoughts? Anything that could've been done better? Different?
Special thanks for this one goes out to Robert van Klinken for some good 'ol feedback! For the record, the picture was taken on a Sony Bravia 40" @1080p
Looking awesome. However, if I were to pick something:
Let’s say I have half the movies without the poster, or that their poster is not perfectly clear on first sight. In that case, the only way to know which movie they are is to go through them manually so that the ribbon with the name appears.
But then again, I assume this would be an interface for some kind of a service that has all the covers – so that makes my comment slightly less valid.
In other words, don’t listen to me and keep up this standard of work!
Kevin, looks great but I have a few issues. The border around the Covers, what metaphore are you aiming for here? Is it a poster? Or a cover? I´m struggling to figure out why you have them there so I would see a change there... And I would try to find another solution to show the name than the ribbon, I dont feel like it suits the thing..
The inner sides of the shelf seems too stretched and the perspective is wrong. The stretching should line up with the shelves direction, if that made sense. Othervise great work.
Wowzers! Haven't had that much feedback in a long time! Thanks peeps! I would like to answer you all and give you my view on certain things, but I just saw this before I'm going away... I'm taking it with me when I'm going to take another stab at it. Thanks kind fellas!

Looks great so far, but th drop shadow of the ribbon doesn't look natural. It makes the shelf look kind of flat.
