i think i'm almost there with this one. i'm pretty sure i have carpal tunnel from all the sketching now. big thanks to @Claire Coullon, @Jon Stapp and @Sean Heisler for the feedback.
So good to see this Colin, it's looking fantastic! Very nice job maintaining the natural flow and feeling of the sketch. That second 's' is looking much more s-like too, nicely done. The last 'a' seems a tad too close the the 'm' but I love how it fits next to it. I also like the colour as it is now but looking forward to seeing some variations too.
this is looking really great, colin. The only problem i can foresee is reading "Wettness Mama" instead of Wellness. Though I don't know if that is a big enough concern to pursue revisiting it.
I really love how the 'n' hugs the 'e' and the 'm' hugs the 'a'. I wonder if perhaps that first 'l' could be flipped horizontally so that it also hugs that 'e' in front of it?
This turned out great, Colin! I think you've done an excellent job with the vectorization; looks really tight. There's a pleasing flow and style to the letterforms, and I really love your solution to that M. The whole thing now feels very natural and the strokes feel realistic and logical to me. What a lovely introduction to this level of hand-rendered type, man.
