    Frankly … it looks unbalanced. The letters alone could be the logo. The shapes around the letters are too complicated. Why is the lower shape so wide? And why are the letters not in the vertical center?

    I would try to make it simpler and come up with a proper way to geometrically compose the logo, maybe using only basic shapes. This might give you an idea: http://blog.spoongraphics.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2010/logo-design/balanced.png

    Thanks for the feedback, I'll have to do some more work on it. Looks like that article'll be pretty helpful, too.

    Just to give a bit of context, this was an attempt to revamp the Toronto TTC logo, http://stevedarkwood.files.wordpress.com/2010/12/600px-ttc_logo.gif but obviously more work is needed.
