Movie style posters of our favorite trilogy done as a personal project.
Since buying a Cintiq, I never really had a client project that needed 100% hand drawn elements. I've been using it mainly for coloring and detail work. I decided to tackle these movie poster interpretations almost exclusively in Photoshop (sketches were done traditionally though). It was really liberating. I almost don't want to go back to regular vector work :)
Mason: Thanks. I was trying to mix it up. It's a bit more "comic strip" than retro, but I tried to marry the two together...somehow. In the end I think the humans were the only things that got the "retro" treatment heh
