@Joonbug I added Serifs, what do you think now?...
@Taly I tried a more narrow version and put the K closer to the D, and the D more shorter too, but it looked weird
@Claire I moved the vertical stems 1 px up, and also made the inner vertical stems 1 px thicker.
thanks @Abdallah yo @Devon, thank you! hoopies? :P to choose one gives me headaches..... the right one is indeed less like a K.
thanks @Taly, apreciate it! :)
Between these two, it's definitely the left one for me. Like Devon said, the serifs create such a nice symmetry and they balance out the right side.
I'm still going back to the previous version though too.. I like how 'together' it feels and because of the lack of serifs on the 'D', the shape has a great slightly abstract quality to it as well.
Really hard choice (can I vote for two of them?!) I think I'm going to say this left one. Very nice progress with this by the way!
@Claire thank you, of course you can vote for two ;) the previous one didn't received any love yet, I'm still a bit unsure! maybe I should do another revision..
thank you @Melissa it also feels wonderful to get so much positive feedback and see that there's an audience who likes what I do.... this is a totally new image I have.
^ I think it's excellent how you've involved people in the development so far, not just "pick A or B" with no context, but explaining your thoughts and process. Very interesting to follow and it'll be great to see a new logo on a brand new portfolio site soon too!
thanks @Claire, didn't realized that, it kinda feels like clients who tell me what could be better. even real clients aren't that helpful, so I'm glad I'm on dribbble! learned so much here!
but I don't think I can beat this one with better solution..

but I'm stuck with these 3 choices.

I'm diggin' the first one in this shot! The serifs on the D create great symmetry with the uh... swoopies?... on the K.
As you can tell, I'm well-versed in the technical terms of typography... ;D
And while I love the second one, too, I think the K is slightly less noticeable and I think the first one really feels more solid and confident.

sans serif. it is a solid mark that feels contained.

The right one. left only, if you're coder (looks like braces {})
btw. If you'll turn it 90° you'll have a man with Glasses and Mustache. :)

@René I know, thats what I was going for ;)
Thanks for your opinion, tho I think the right K is less readable.

Although I like both, the left one is more appealing to me as it seems to have more grace. It's wonderful to see your process! Nice work :)
