I like the texture that you're using. You might want to think about using the light texture to highlight a certain word for emphasis. So, instead of it being randomly spread across multiple words (I see/read "never" "or" "forsake") maybe just limit it to a particular message, like "never forsake" or "never leave".
Yah, it is kinda funky. Perhaps the end feeling is more of like, a love letter—written with passion; through the blood of Jesus, if I may be symbolic. True love (and relationships) are messy, no?
