I'd say do some variations with a range of widths and then test them at different sizes. This one seems like it'd be the 'regular' weight - a bolder one would definitely be interesting to see, maybe a lighter one too? (although the gaps might not work as nicely)
yep, I agree with you @Claire, when I get some time, I post a collection with different weights, probably packed into a Gif. (to not overcrowd the space in the shot)
I would go with a *really* slightly bolder version. I can see this feeling very nicely on a portfolio website – though you already have a logo for yourself.
@Jakub thanks, I'll look into it. I know I already have one, but I'm thinking to replace it with a more personal logo... even my current one looks good, it's too unpersonal...
my only problem with using my personal logo on my portfolio is the domain, that was the main reason I didn't go with a personal logo....
danielkeller.com danielkeller.me are taken, so I have to think of a different domain if I want to use a personal logo and my personal name. kind of a misery, in case someone has a solution, tips or domain suggestion, let me know.
What about something like danielkellerdesign.com? Or something similar that brings in an additional word other than your name. Unless of course any variations of danielkeller with punctuation (like a hyphen or underscore or something) are available.
Looking at this again, I think this would definitely be worth working on to develop into a personal identity. If you wanted to keep some continuity with your current logo, you could try maintaining a similar line weight or colour.
thanks @Claire, really useful suggestions, I looked on godaddy.. can't think of an other, where do you look for domains? tho danielkellerdesign.com is quite long.
danielkeller.co dkeller.co dkeller.me are available. is a .me or .co domain ok too? .co seems to be new and sounds good, "seo-friendly, secure & for creatives" http://www.go.co/about/
didn't want to continue it compared to the current one tho.... I work on this now and post it later hopefully.
Yeah you're right about it being pretty long with design at the end. To me, danielkeller.co sounds the best but that's purely going on how it looks & comes across (I don't know much in this area in terms of technical stuff). Plus it also seems like it'd be good to use your full name, rather than first initial.
(Oh and I also look on godaddy for domain names).

I sat in the train today and had nothing better to do than sketch a few monograms with my initials. this is the first one of them.

Really, really nice. It's a really good idea and I love what you did with the interaction of the lines.

thank you so much @Milosz @Claire @Joris @Jakub
agree on the boldness Joris, it could be a tad bolder... or what do the others think about the line thickness?
with this one I really tried to create something new, which I never seen before!
