Logo concept for a Financial Aid program. The "S" is for Student in the official name.

I almost would want to see the same thickness for the 'S' and stroke on the leaves. I think it would make it stronger and more unified that way. Nice!
I agree. Tried it, but some problems occurred. Making stroke thicker inside & you'd barely have a sliver of green in the middle. Thicken stroke on the outside and you break the top & bottom curve of the S. Make the S thinner and it looks wimpy.
Find a happy medium, it's always there :)
Strong concept I think. The S also looks like $ sign :-) Show me da' money! Regarding thickness, I actually don't mind it as is. Maybe, just make the middle of the S body thin a tiny bit so it's not too drastic.
Strong concept. I agree with Joe, though. I don't actually mind the thickness variation, but I'd love to see the same thickness to where the cuts are, so it'll seem the S is continuous with the leaves.
@Stelian Vasile You mean to increase the cuts to the same thickness as the stroke on the leaves?
I like it the way it is. Great mark.
i like it!
@Carlos Fernandez The thickness of the S line where it's cut should match the thickness of the leaves' lines. This way it'll look continuous. But it looks great as is.
@Stelian Vasile Thanks for the thoughts! It's a great idea for the consistency, but it ends up being too thick a cut - becomes disconnected & the S doesn't flow into the leaves as well.
