    So, erm... I have this thing for loading indicators :) Here are few options for a "Cancel loading" button.

    The finalist is the bottom right one.

    On a related note - the fat darkish halo around the buttons is the new drop shadow for me. It is a simple and very clear way to highlight actionable items on a page.
