Well, I have to confess I'm not very sure about the save icon. I wanted to find something to replace the classic "floppy disk" icon that doesn't mean anything anymore, but didn't find a great metaphor yet. Any idea?
I'm not sure how you gonna pull of (code-wise) the receipt output on the very edge if it scrolls out of the hole. I'm onto something like this too. As I analyse it, at least you will need a different cell for the first row of the tableview. Custom cell for all other of course. Keep the scroll indicators out of the table: have them next to it on the grey area: here's a link discussing this idea http://stackoverflow.com/questions/8447805/twitter-like-uitableview-design/9204946#9204946 I'd use plain view style tableview.
Whats your stack moniker :P?

With this view, the user can record a new expense, and attach a photograph of the receipt.

I loved the expense report, the texture of fabric, but leave much to be desired and the icons on the top bar. ;-)
