Michael Flarup made a great point on twitter yesterday. He thought we should have dribbblers design their own clock face, and include it in my new application clOck for customization.
The application will be submitted as a free app, and you will be credited with website & name. I learn to code cocoa, and you get your own iPhone clock on your desk.
So this is a call out to all of you designers out there.
Download the template, start pushing some pixels. To submit just do this:
1. Edit the Smart Objects within the template and keep the sizes intact.
2. Rebound this shot with a preview of your clock face
3. Attach the PSD with your replaced assets for easy export.
4. Include your details: Name, website, clock face name
All layers are editable; they just need to be the same size.
Submission Deadline I strive to have the first build finished within the next 14 days. So let us have the first deadline: February 14th 2012
@Gabriel Levcovitz & @Joe Montanino
Not really. But let us say the deadline for the first build should be within the next 14 days - just to have some sort of limit. After that submission are welcome, as we can update the app with new themes along the way :)
Hi Kevin,
Great idea - not sure if we can edit the background or it needs to be consistent across all faces? If you could clarify I'll adjust if needed. Cheers.
@Jonathan Belton
All elements can be edited. They just need to be the same size :)
Think of all elements as smart objects in which I load new images into.
@all
I am really exited about this. This project will be great guys, keep it up!
How does one use the @ here on dribbble by the way, is it automatic?
@Gabriel Levcovitz
I think it is possible to add custom typefaces; but as I am still learning I am not quite sure. Just be sure that the font is not under some licensing conditions where we will not be able to use it.
@jaci raia
I would love that; as long as it is not a licensed font.
@Daniel Pidcock
I will need the exact sizes and files defined in the PSD - else I would have to nudge a lot of pixels around :)

Haha, that's what i'm talking about Kevin! Let's disrupt the Alarm Clock App Scene, there's so many useless ones out there. I'll work on one.

Can I make a flip clock or is it just normal analog?
over 1 year ago
Wojtek
For now it's only a analog version. I'll properly make a Digital, as well as a FlipClock later. But for now please use the current template :)

@Kevin Andersson great, but what about changing the typeface? I presume that I can't change the date font, right?

@Kevin Andersson
just a note: let me know if you need the font i used for the day / date. i didn't include them in the zip.
