Here's the first public draft of a simple landing page for Timbrr. I tried to keep it pretty minimal. I'll also be adding an About section later. As always, suggestions and constructive criticism are always welcome!
P.S. I shamelessly stole the button layout from @Eric Hoffman's beautiful shot here. Apologies, it was just perfect :P
P.S.S. You can play with a quick live version here!
Just a thought, you might want to somehow make the title, Timbrr, stand out a bit more. Not sure how, maybe 3d or something. Like this perhaps http://drbl.in/bLJf
@Nathan: thanks for the feedback! I played around with some different styles for it, but I liked that the big focal point in the header was the download button, so I ended up on this. Might try investigating some more though. Beautiful shot that you linked to, by the way.
I like what you've done here. The only thing I didn't think was working in your layout was the body copy text in the bottom section. Maybe it's the rendering, the typeface or the size/leading. Can I ask what font it is? Just something I'd play with a little more :)
@Levi: Wintering thanks for the suggestion :) The font is standard Lucida Grande, rendered with the Crisp option in Photoshop. I just switched it to Sharp and it looks much better... xD
I knew it. This app was too beautiful to make it to the App Store. Am I the only one who wonders why - in spite of the overabundance of beautiful app UI's and ideas on this Dribbble website - None% actually see the light of the app store? Working in the field thus far has shown me that the brute-suits paying the bills snuff out almost everything interesting before it comes time for publishing, but is that the only reason? Anyone else care to speculate?
@Satchell Drakes Thanks for the kind words. Trust me, my intention was not to end up as another one of those apps that never came to fruition, and I worked with the developer for around 4 months for this to see the light of day. Unfortunately we both decided that the Forrst API was just too limiting to do what we wanted with it (still a complaint today), and we both lost interest in the community after the massive deterioration of quality.
We also agreed that if either of those changed, we would pick it up again, but for now it didn't feel like it was worth it.

I'd make a custom wordmark/type instead of just a font + a layer style.
this app looks awesome tho, better than the actual User Interface Forrst has on their website!

That is legit, love it a lot. I think you might want to add a bit of a darker stroke on that "Download" button yo' :D
