Playing with some textures on a new logo I created for a small town country store. The font is a highly modified version of sarah script. I'm liking the simple country feel this is giving, but I think I've got a few more tweaks before it's just right.
This logo has evolved quite a bit since the last shot. It seems to play nicely as a business card.
The client wanted a sans for the 'oungs' part. And thanks to some good advice here, I've spent some more time considering the font for the tag line. In the end I'm loving the softness of this italicized serif.

I like the typography on the logo. Maybe rethink the subtext typeface...

Agreed with jim. I like the handwritten script, but the tagline doesn't sit right.
The emblem is rather nice too!

Thanks guys! I will take a look at the subtext. I have to admit it was a bit of an afterthought at this point.
