Two minor details, (1) the button looks a bit jagged on the edges, and (2) maybe some more contrast on the d-pad labels wouldn't hurt, specially on low quality displays.
Looks snazzy... Without being able to see the full mock - I wonder if the home/prev/next links need to be more obviously labeled. As Paulo said, maybe more contrast/darker or larger font.
Oh, and...

(this is a star wars code for an SNES game I just pulled from my subconscious right before the kick)
Trent n Paulo, I'm sorta thinking of leaving them small. I really think that the nature of the site is that this is an added navigational feature, meaning the site can live without those controls there. They are there for convenience, however, as usual, I shall ponder thy words.
DUDE! If Nintendo were smart, they would see this mockup, hire you, then re-release the gameboy mini (designed by Rogie King). This is awesome hawtness TO THE MAX sir. Great job.
Looking good! It's funny, though, how the lack of d-pad and buttons on the Game Boy itself makes it look an awful lot like an older iPod. I'm not sure if it's the proportion, something else or maybe just that I've used an iPod much more recently than a vintage Game Boy.
@Josh and @Rogie it was also the first Alien Workshop skateboard I ever owned all the way back in 95 (and still the first thing I think of when I hear "dot matrix").
Hey Rogie: This is looking great! One little nitpick: if the corner of the Gameboy is beveled down, shouldn't the raised height represented beneath it be thinner than the full thickness on the left?
Jesse, great nitpick and yes. Also, now that I am going more true to the gameboy design, I need to make that corner a larger border radius too — changes in motion. Thanks bro.

Assembling the tumblr for mediahack. Here are some assets. Also, changed up the gameboy a bit and added some depth and detail.

I really like the concept and the colors.

Great work.

If you don't use a midi embed on this, I'll be disappointed.
Many to select here, including the Battletoads theme:

Rogie, an ideia for an easter egg... typing the konami code would trigger a midi song, or revert the design or something.

Isn't Dot Matrix a kind of printer?

The gameboy had a dot matrix screen. Yes, the technology was used in printers, also on display devices.

Ha, weird! Whenever I hear that term I am reminded of the super old printer we used to have with that paper with the holes on the side.

The added depth on the GameBoy is awesome. That angled corner makes it.
