    @Gadzhi Thanks! Yeah, did the pattern by hand in the sense that I used Illustrator's Bloat, Transform, and Blend functions. Still feels a little bit off to me, but maybe I stared at it too long.

    Just noticed that the preview overlay actually acts as a page itself. Clicking on an off the preview and trying to go back sent me on a fun loop.

    @Jason Thanks. Yeah, using the CSS overlay selector here, which will get recorded in your browser history like any other link. I hope that loop really was fun and not annoying.
